LB Broth Media

Materials

To make one liter LB:

  • Bacto-tryptone - 10 g

  • Yeast extract - 5 g

  • NaCl (58.4430 g/mol) - 10 g

Preparation

  1. Add tryptone, yeast extract and NaCl to 800-mL deionized-distilled water.

  2. Adjust pH to 7.50 with NaOH.

  3. Fill volume with ddH2O to 1 L.

  4. Sterilize by autoclaving.
